Prints are a large and important part of my body of work.. Although I have explored several branches of the printmaking family, including intaglio,
lithography and monoprints, the relief print, using either linoleum or wood has become my primary focus. I enjoy printmaking for the range of aesthetic possibilities which it offers; for the challenges of the technical process and for its accessibility to wide audiences. The printmaking aesthetics have served my painting process by allowing me to build many layers which deepen the visual experience.

 

Explorations of mixed printing techniques with inserts of completely different processes like hand stitching have resulted in interesting outcomes
in work like “ Mother, Mother, Mother …”. This is a series of work speaks to the lived experience of some women.
